Another Rose

Layers of hopes
Laced in laughter
Linked in love
Laid in series

I arranged them
Carefully like petals in a rose
Frosted them with my tears
Made it look as beautiful as you

I grip those thorns so tight
Lest them not hurt you
Let my blood tickle down the stem
Let those petals caress the silk of your fingers

As my heart implodes
In fear, shame and guilt
Just to think my darker side matters not
Please not… let my love explode
